White man in white van fails kidnapping attempt in Belmopan 

Staff: Belmopan police are investigating a case of attempted kidnapping in that municipality. 

On Monday just before midday, three children ages 14, 12 and 8 were making their way home when a white van pulled up beside them on the George Price Boulevard. 

A white man inside the vehicle offered the children a ride which they reportedly refused. 

However, the man exited the vehicle and tried to force the 8-year-old inside. 

The other two children fought him but were pushed to the ground. 

The purported abductor then entered back into the vehicle and sped off. 

Police are investigating.
