Woman, 52, raped while doing laundry in her backyard 

Staff: A 52-year-old woman was raped in southern Belize. 

Yesterday police were called to the Southern Regional Hospital where the woman was seen with facial injuries. 

Police learned that just before midday she was in the backyard of her Pomona home doing laundry when a tall black man approached her. 

The man demanded money from her and forced her into her home where the atrocious act occurred. 

Police have not yet identified any suspect in this vicious crime.
