Man found guilty for putting a “hit” on businessman 

Staff: Belmopan businessman, Jahangir Abadi, has been found guilty of the crime of abetment of murder. 

 He appeared today in the Supreme Court represented by Arthur Saldivar.  

The prosecutor, Cheryl Lyn Vidal successfully argued that Abadi tried to hire someone to kill Iranian-American, Michael Modiri, in 2016.  

The crime was motivated because of intensified business competition between Modiri and American national, Bradley Paumen.  

While Abadi was found guilty today it is not until October 29, that he will be sentenced.
