Government of Mexico offering scholarships to Belizean scholars

Staff: The Embassy of Mexico in Belize has just announced the open call for the, “2019 Program for the Teaching of Spanish as a Foreign Language, Aimed to Non-Spanish-Speaking Caribbean Countries”. 

The scholarships are being offered by the Government of Mexico through the Mexico-OAS Fund and the Mexican Agency for International Cooperation and Development (AMEXCID). 

The 2019 scholarships will remain available until April 30th of 2019 and will be conducted at the Centro de Enseñanza para Extranjeros (Teaching Center for Foreigners, CEPE), part of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (Autonomous National University of Mexico, UNAM). 

A total of 45 scholarships will be offered to study the Diplomado Básico de Enseñanza de Español como Lengua Extranjera  – DIBEELE (Teaching of Spanish as a Foreign Language Basic Diploma Course). 

The Embassy informs, that the cost of the International Evaluation Service of the Spanish Language Exam (SIELE), may be exempted to five candidates with the condition that the Government of Belize promotes the applicant’s nomination.
