National Library Hosts 17th Annual Book Fair

By BBN Staff: The Belize National Library Service & Information System (BNLSIS) issued a statement today thanking all those persons and institutions who assisted them in making their 17th annual Book Fair/Open Day that was held on September 27th 2018, a success.  

The BNLSIS thanks the following sponsors: Atlantic Bank, Holy Redeemer Credit Union, Bowen & Bowen Ltd. Bacab Eco Park, Simon Quan, Angelus Press Ltd., Department of Youth Services, and the Downtown Rejuvenation Project. 

“Thanks to all schools and students who participated, and especially those who actively took part in the many competitions held at the Book Fair,” the BNLSIS said in their statement. 

The BNLSIS also congratulated the winners of the different competitions, Poster: 1st Rosa Hernandez – E.P. Yorke High School, 2nd Jaime Castellanos – Ladyville Technical High School, 3rdVanya Vernon- Pallotti High School. Story writing: 1stIvy Hung-Belize Elementary School, 2ndRebecca Juarez- Buttonwood Bay Nazarene Primary School, 3rdDevyon Lozano–Holy Redeemer Primary School. Story reading: 1stVanya Hansen- Belize Elementary School, 2ndMaleah Bladen- St. Luke’s Methodist Primary School, & 3rdMiakael Nunez – Bernice Yorke Institute of Learning.  Coloring: 1stCian Ross-Bernice Yorke Institute of Learning.  

The BNLSIS also sends a warm thank you to all the publishing houses which attended, and to the general public who participated in the Book Fair.
