American man badly beaten in home invasion 

Staff: Early Monday morning, Scott Fields, an American man was badly beaten and robbed at his home in Santa Elena, Cayo. 

A source told BBN that Fields is currently in a Belize City hospital in a coma and his friends and family from the USA are concerned about his well being. 

We are also unable to ascertain how much items were stolen from his house. 

Up to now, police have not issued a report on the incident and many of his friends have contacted us to inquire about his condition in the hospital. 

“We hope Cayo Police can catch these bad guys,” a friend of Fields told BBN. 

This week 3 other houses in Cayo were also burglarized.
