By BBN Staff: Sacred Heart Primary School in Dangriga Town was shut down on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 due to a sewage problem.
According to reports, the toilets in the school bathrooms were not flushing and overthrowing causing an unsanitary environment for students and staff.
The Principal of the school, Phillipa Hewlett took the decision to cancel the classes and immediately repair the plumbing.
Some members of the community have since contributed to the repair of the school sewage system.
Classes will resume for the nearly five hundred students on Tuesday, October 9, 2018.
