Breaking: Guatemalans busted with machine gun in Benque Viejo

BBN Staff: This afternoon, at least two Guatemalan nationals reportedly drove into the Benque Viejo Free Zone with a machine gun.

A source has confirmed to Breaking Belize News that Benque Viejo authorities were immediately alerted of the suspicious individuals.

Police searched their vehicle and found the weapon and as a result, the men were detained.

The men are being held for questioning at the Benque Viejo Police Station.

BBN will provide more updates on this story as soon as police issue an official report on this incident.
