Last night’s murder victim identified as Kevin Ferguson

BBN Staff: Last night we reported that there was a shooting death in the old capital.

Today we can confirm that the victim has been identified as Fairweather Street resident, Kevin Ferguson.

Sometime around 8:00 p.m., he was socializing at a Chinese establishment near the Yarborough bridge when a man walked up to him and shot him in the head.

He died on the scene. Ferguson’s death came as a surprise to many as he was not known as a troublesome person.

Instead, those who know him say he was friendly and could always be seen around town with his raffle book.

He is the brother of prominent Belizean cyclist, Giovanni “Froggy” Leslie.
