Men who allegedly raped German woman to be charged today

BBN Staff:Police have reportedly made progress in the case of a forty-four-year-old German woman who was raped by two Belizean men over the weekend.

The men are expected to be charged for the rape and for stealing the woman’s phone.

The incident occurred sometime around 10 p.m. on Friday night when the woman asked the men for a ride from San Ignacio, Cayo, to Belmopan after socializing with them.

However, before reaching the capital city, the men, on separate motorcycles, pulled up to a dark area in Teakettle where they raped her.

Fortunately, she was able to identify them allowing police to make swift arrests.
