Noel Leal Jr. killed and his home raided

BBN Staff: In a press conference today Assistant Superintendent of Police, Alejandro Cowo, provided an update on Sunday’s murder in the village of Mahogany Heights.

He revealed that officers visited a feeder road where they observed a body seated in the driver’s side of a Volkswagen vehicle.

He was seen with a gunshot wound to the back of his head. The bullet reportedly exited his face and then through the windshield of the vehicle.

The body was later identified as that of Noel Leal Jr., of a Ladyville village address.

Information to BBN is that Leal’s home was ransacked after his death. However, his family could not determine to police what had been stolen.

Leal had been recently charged for drug trafficking high-grade marijuana and was reputedly involved in the drug trade. When asked if the person who took his life went to his home to search for drugs, Cowo said, “It is something that we are looking at. We cannot tell you what exactly is missing from the house.”

According to Cowo, Leal was last seen alive in Belize City hours before his death.
