Guatemalan police busted with loaded Uzi remanded to prison

BBN Staff: Two Guatemalan policemen have been remanded to the Hattieville prison until December 11, 2018.

They are Jose Juan Garcia Palma, 31, and Armando Hub Pop, 35.

The duo was busted with a loaded Uzi inside the Benque Viejo Free zone on Saturday.

At around 2 p.m Benque Viejo police received the tip and intercepted the men who were inside a pickup truck.

A search of their vehicle led to the discovery.

The men were then escorted to the Benque Viejo Station and charged with the offenses of ‘kept prohibited firearm’ and ‘kept ammunition without a gun license’.
