Trio charged for drug trafficking in Corozal

By BBN Staff: Corozal police have arrested and charged three Hattieville village residents for drug trafficking.

According to police, while on mobile patrol on the Patchakan road, police attention was drawn to a black Toyota 4Runner.

One of the passengers, upon seeing the police mobile approaching, tossed an object out of the window. Police immediately pulled over the vehicle and escorted the trio to the area where the item was tossed. Upon making checks, the officers discovered a green leafy substance believed to be cannabis.

All three men were escorted to the Corozal police station where the suspected cannabis was weighed to an amount of 1,098 grams.

The three men were identified as Deon Arnold, 29; Ian Young, 19, and Alex Lewis, 29.
