Sandhill man knocked down from his cycle and shot over the weekend

Posted: Monday, October 22, 2018. 3:47 pm CST.

BBN Staff: Two men are alive after they were knocked down from a motorcycle and attacked with a firearm.

Police investigations reveal that in the wee hours of Sunday morning, Sandhill resident, Nathaniel Lockwood, 21, was socializing in Sandhill.

However, his friend, Lindon Ramos, asked for a ride to Gardenia Village in the Belize District.

Upon reaching the Gracie Bank Area of the highway the men observed that a vehicle had been trailing them.

They pulled to the side of the road and stopped to allow the vehicle to make its way past them.

However, the vehicle also stopped.

The men continued to drive towards the village when the vehicle knocked them from behind.

As both men fell to the ground from the motorcycle, the driver of the vehicle exited and opened fire hitting Lockwood multiple times to the chest and stomach.

He was rushed to the BDF hospital in Ladyville and later transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

According to police, neither men are known to them. Also, the police could not say which man was the target.

As investigations remain open, police are yet to make any arrests.
