Elderly man busted with gun, ammo, and cocaine

BBN Staff:Police have arrested an elderly man from San Pedro Town for keeping ammunition without a gun license and drug trafficking.

Yesterday, police conducted a search at the home of Shamil Espat,72, of San Pedro.

At the time of the search, Espat’s wife, Blanca Espat and his 11-year-old daughter were at home.

There, police found a bag with  (10) Fiocchi brand 12 gauge cartridges, a gray sock containing $1,800.00  in assorted denomination, and a black plastic bag with small parcels of cocaine.

The cocaine was weighed and it amounted to a total of  13.6 grams.

Espat and his wife were detained pending charges of drug trafficking and keeping ammunition without having been granted a gun license.
