Michael Peyreffitte to compete with John Saldivar and Patrick Faber for UDP Leadership post

By BBN Staff: The race for leadership of the ruling United Democratic Party (UDP) was previously between John Saldivar and Deputy Prime Minister, Patrick Faber.

However, Saldivar, yesterday informed that the race for the leadership of his party is now a 3 man race.

Belize’s Attorney General and Former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Michael Peyreffitte reportedly joins the race for UDP leader.

In November, Peyreffitte will face off in a convention against Philip Willoughby, Dean Samuels, and Shane Castillo for the UDP standard bearer position in Port Loyola.

Saldivar continues his campaign by sharing his ideas on several poverty alleviation initiatives he plans to implement when he becomes UDP Party Leader.
