Man charged for fatal hit and run down south

BBN Staff: On Monday we had reported that Alta Vista villager, David Cunil, 45, was knocked down and killed on the highway while walking home.

The driver reportedly never stopped to provide assistance which may have saved Cunil’s life.

Yesterday police charged a fellow villager, Jorge Alberto Eraso, 44, with the crimes of manslaughter by negligence, causing death by careless conduct, driving without due care and attention, driving without being the holder of a valid driver’s license, and driving without third party risk insurance.

He will be arraigned in court today.
