Police in San Ignacio investigating armed robbery at Lily’s Supermarket

By BBN Staff: Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred yesterday morning in San Ignacio Town.

According to reports, police visited Lily’s Store on Thornley Street, San Ignacio where the business owner, Jian Fan Chen reported that at 10:45 a.m., while inside his store, two Hispanic men entered his establishment.

The 2 men pointed their guns at Chen and demanded money. Fearing for his life, Chen handed them a bag with the day sales.

A customer at the time was also robbed of an undisclosed amount of money.

Both men then escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police are investigating.
