By BBN Staff: Belize is being represented at the Miss Scuba international pageant in Malaysia.
Twenty-six-year-old dive master, Monique Lamb, is proudly representing Belize for the first ever international pageant.
In a social media post, Lamb expressed her enthusiasm for participating in the pageant, “I am very happy, very excited and very proud to be Belizean. Since I am representing our country…I am a dive master. I love what I do and I take pride in what I do. The whole thing about this pageant is to promote scuba among females and to promote marine conservation.”
The intense and interactive competition is focused on promoting Marine conservation and scuba diving among women.
Lamb will compete against 22 other Ocean ambassadors for the 2018 Scuba International Crown.
She is updating Belizeans on the competition via her social media pages.
The pageant takes place from November 6 to 17, 2018.
The grand finale for the pageant will be on Saturday, November 17.
