By BBN Staff: A female police officer has been charged for assaulting a woman inside a nightclub in Orange Walk. The incident occurred last week Thursday.

Seleny Mai and WPC Stephanie Patten reportedly got into an altercation.

Thereafter, Patten attacked Mai and allegedly beat her up.

Police responded to the fight and Patten resisted arrest.

Patten has since been arrested and charged for one count of wounding, one count of damage to property and two counts of harm. She is facing criminal and disciplinary charges.
