OJ Elrington wins UDP convention in Freetown

BBN Staff: Today the United Democratic Party held its standard-bearer convention in Freetown.

When the final ballots were counted, Orson “Oj” Elrington, was declared the winner.

He collected 630 votes. In second place was the former standard-bearer, Dr. Carla Barnett with 470 votes. Freddy Cantiliano collected 53 votes.

There were 18 rejected ballots and a total of 1,171 votes cast today at ITVET in Belize City.
