PUP Cayo Central convention underway in Santa Elena Town

By: BBN Staff: The convention for the People’s United Party (PUP) to elect a standard bearer for the Cayo Central division is currently underway at the Santa Elena Primary School.

Supporters of the PUP have been steadily entering the polls to vote.

Former Senator, Collet Montejo, and San Antonio resident Alex Balona are contesting the convention.

Montejo ran in the 2012 general election and came shy of 44 votes losing to UDP’s Rene Montero.

Both candidates are greeting voters at the polling station.
