By BBN Staff: Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident that occurred yesterday evening.
Around 5:47 pm, police went to an area near Mile 10 ½ on the Southern Highway, Stann Creek and saw the body of a man lying face up on the road.
The victim was identified as Pedro Shol,33, of Valley Community.
Police also saw a white bluebird bus parked on the right side of the highway and a black 125 Skygo motorcycle on the left-hand side of the highway with extensive damages.
Police investigation revealed that Shol was traveling on his motorcycle heading towards Pomona village and passing another bus which was traveling from the opposite direction when he lost control and collided into the left rear of the parked white bus.
The white bus that was parked was driven at the time by Darrell Borland, 40, of Pomona, Stann Creek.
Shol was transported to Southern Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police investigation continues.
