By BBN Staff: Police are investigating the murder of a man that occurred this afternoon.
Around 12:40, police were called to Panama Street, Salvapan area, Belmopan where they found an orange car parked on the street side.
Inside the car, a man was seated in the driver’s seat with a gunshot wound to his face.
He was identified as Jermain Micheal Sankar, 23, from the Corozal District.
Police investigation revealed that a man wearing a blue shirt approached and shot Sankar to the face, then escape into the nearby bushes.
Sankar was pronounced dead on arrival at Western Regional Hospital.
His body awaits a post-mortem examination.
Police investigation continues.
