Belize City minor detained for robbery at store in Unitedville, Cayo

By BBN Staff: Police have arrested and charged a 17-year-old minor for a robbery that occurred on November 16.

The minor is one of three men accused of entering and robbing the owner and a customer of Yi Long store in Unitedville, Cayo.

He sustained a gunshot injury when one of the owners fired shots at him. The minor reportedly went to the Western Regional Hospital for treatment for the gunshot injuries.

Police are still seeking the other two suspects.

The minor was charged for crimes of robbery, and conspiracy to commit robbery, and attempted robbery.

He was remanded until January 21, 2019.
