Police: Three men detained for stealing gun from Chinese Businessman in San Ignacio

BBN Staff: Yesterday, San Ignacio Police detained three men pending charges of theft and keeping a firearm without a gun license.

According to reports, Hongjun Liang, 43, a Chinese businessman of Joseph Andrews Drive, San Ignacio Town, reported that he placed his Smith and Wesson 9mm firearm containing 8 rounds of ammunition on a carton box inside his warehouse, and upon making checks, he noticed that his weapon was missing.

The firearm was recovered at the residence of Darwin Young, 25, a Belizean Student of Benque Viejo Town. 

Police are investigating.
