Posted: Thursday, November 22, 2018. 7:27 am CST.

BBN Staff:  Keidi Yesenia Ramirez, 26, is dead.

She was found motionless on Tuesday and was transported to the Independence Polyclinic in Southern Belize. Doctors on duty pronounced her dead after observing injuries to her neck, hands, and feet.

Investigators immediately visited her home yesterday and spoke to her family who revealed that she was involved in a violent dispute before her death.

Family members say that she was intoxicated and they tried to restrain her by tying her up.

While police await further directives from the Department of Public Prosecution (DPP), they have detained the parents and a sister of the deceased.
