Body found in Pomona, Stann Creek during search for missing woman

BBN Staff:  The body of Marta Gonzalez,68, a resident of San Felipe, Orange Walk who went missing a few days ago was found this morning in Pomona Village, Stann Creek.

Romario Ixpec, 37, had told police that his mom, Marta left San Felipe on November 23, 2018 and has not been seen or heard from since then. Marta reportedly left home en route to  to sell cheese in Dangriga.

This morning, Gonzales body was found on the Stann Creek Valley Road in Pomona Village.

Police are investigating.
