By BBN Staff: A group of Belizean journalists are at The Hague, Netherlands on a special assignment trip to learn about the procedures of the International Court of Justice (ICJ).
The trip is being fully sponsored by the United States Embassy in Belize in support of the Government of Belize’s on going ICJ campaign.
The program is entitled: From Fear to Facts: Demystifying the ICJ.
Accompanying the journalists on the trip is US Embassy’s Public Affairs Officer, Natella Svistunova.
According to Svistunova, the program is for Belizean media professionals to educate themselves, learning all the facts from experts and educate the Belizean people so that they are able to vote using facts and not fear.
Journalists are scheduled to meet with a panel of law experts in international law this week.
Journalists are scheduled to return to Belize on Sunday, December 2..
