By BBN Staff: The heavy rains that poured yesterday afternoon in San Ignacio flooded many businesses in the area.

According to reports, many homes and yards in San Ignacio are still under water.

Scotia Bank, Trins Meat among other businesses were affected by the heavy rains.

A source informed BBN that the drains that were recently installed in down town San Ignacio exacerbated the problem.

“We hope that the San Ignacio and Santa Elena Town Council can look into this issue asap,” the source told BBN.
