UDP politician passes away

BBN Staff:  Rosendo “Chendo” Urbina, former standard bearer for the UDP in the Orange Walk Central division has passed away.

According to a Facebook post from the UDP, Urbina passed away last night.

“It is with profound sadness that we record last night’s passing of Orange Walk Businessman, UDP Politician, and Belize’s former Ambassador to Mexico, H.E. Rosendo “Chendo” Urbina,” the UDP said in their statement.

“We join our Party Leader and other Leaders of our Party in the expression of deepest sympathies to the Family and Friends of this UDP Soldier,” the post further stated.

In the 2008 General Elections, Urbina ran against current PUP Leader Johnny Briceno in the Orange Walk division however, Urbina lost to Briceno by 310 votes.
