Unidentified human remains found in New River

BBN Staff: The body of a man was found floating in the New River in Orange Walk on Wednesday.

The body appeared to have been eaten off by crocodiles, and up to now, authorities do not know who the person is.

The body was missing both arms and the face was severely disfigured.

A post mortem was conducted on Wednesday evening, however, the cause of death could not be determined due to the advanced state of decomposition.

Police are investigating.
