Francis Gill, 47, ambushed and killed in Belize City

BBN Staff: Belize City resident, Francis Gill, 47, is the country’s latest murder victim.

At 1:30 am this morning, police visited #1128 Barracuda Street in the Coral Grove area where they saw his body.

He was seen slumped over the steering wheel of a grey 4 door Nissan Altima car with apparent gunshot wounds to the left side of the neck and to the left side of his cheek.

Investigations reveal that Gill and his wife, Betzy Gill, had just arrived at their apartment complex when gunshots rang out.

While he was fatally injured, his wife received a gunshot to her leg and ankle.

Police have not yet identified any suspects or motives in this deadly assault in which 4 GFL Luger brand expended shells were recovered from the scene.
