16-year-old minor drowns in pond

By BBN Staff: A 16-year-old minor drowned yesterday in a pond in Ladyville, Belize.

Around 11:50 am yesterday, Ladyville police arrived at Lake Garden in Ladyville where they were informed of a person who went underwater and did not resurface.

Police searched the immediate area, and shortly thereafter, they retrieved the body of Lionel Bennett from the pond.

Police are investigating.
