By BBN Staff: Three transport officers are being investigated after they were busted with contraband beers on Sunday.
According to reports, the officers were traveling in a government-issued vehicle when a joint patrol intercepted them at Tower Hill Village in Orange Walk.
Inside the vehicle, the joint patrol discovered 14 cases of Modelo beer.
The transport officers were taken to the Orange Walk Customs Office where they agreed to settle the matter without taking it to court.
It is expected that the transport officers will face sanctions from the department for the illicit activity.
