Woman arrested with over 7lbs. of pot

BBN Staff: Police have arrested Felicia Samuels,31, of Belize City for drug trafficking.

Samuels was at the Corozal Municipal Airstrip yesterday morning when police arrived and noticed she had a purse and a black bag on her lap.

Police conducted a search in the purse which led to the discovery of (3) parcels of suspected cannabis and a search conducted in the black bag led to the discovery of (4) parcels of cannabis, weighing a total of 3619grams (7.97 pounds).

Samuels was later charged for the offense of drug trafficking.
