Man shot in groin by woman in Belize City

BBN Staff: Police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred this morning in Belize City.

Around 9:23 am, police responded to a shooting report at the corner of  Magazine Road and Vernon Street.

There, officers were informed that Bartholomew Lucas,32, was shot to the groin and taken to the KHMH for treatment.

Investigations revealed that Lucas was at the home of Tanice Mejia,32 when they got into an argument.

Mejia reportedly shot Lucas in his groin.

Lucas is listed in a stable condition.

Police investigation continues.
