Young mother loses life to gun violence in Santa Elena, Cayo

By BBN Staff: A young mother from Santa Elena, Cayo lost her life last night to gun violence.

Brenda Castellanos was inside her home last night along with Jenice August when a lone gunman entered and shot them.

Both women were taken to the Western Regional Hospital for medical treatment. However, Castellanos died shortly thereafter.

August is currently in a critical condition at the hospital.

Police are investigating.
