strong>By BBN Staff: Belizeans detained for illegal entry into Belize?According to reports, a group of Belizeans is being detained by Belizean authorities for allegedly entering into Belize illegally.

The men were reportedly returning from Botes, the most popular illegal crossing between Belize and Mexico when they were arrested.

A source told BBN that Tony de la Fuente of the Northern Territorial Volunteers (NTV) along with several others are reportedly in jail at this time.

At the moment, many Belizeans are asking on social media how can Belizeans be charged and arrested for illegal entry into their own country.
