Benny’s Bargain Center robbed

y BBN Staff: On Friday around 4:35 p.m. there was an armed robbery inBelize city.

Nathaniel Perera, an employee of  Benny’s Bargain Center on Freetown Road,reported that he was standing in front of the business establishment when a man on a bicycle approached him.

The man asked if the place had been closed. After Perera confirmed, he rode off then returned with a firearm and demanded cash.

Fearing for his life, Perera handed over $4,000 in cash.
