Suspected robber nabbed by police in Lake I

sponse has led to the apprehension of a suspected robber.

Sometime this afternoon, an unidentified man robbed a delivery truck on Holy Immanuel Street in the Lake Independence constituency of Belize City.

However, before the robber could make a clean escape he was pursued by police.

Officers reportedly opened fire to subdue the fleeing robber who was subsequently detained.

The loot from the robbery was also retrieved.

It is not yet known if the firearm used in the commission of the crime has been recovered.

The identity of the suspected robber has not yet been released and he has not yet been charged.
