Teen shot in Ladyville, Belize

y BBN Staff:  A teenager is in a critical condition in the hospital after being shot yesterday in Ladyville.

He has been identified as Norman Haulze, 17.

Information to BBN is that yesterday, he and two other persons were at a home in Ladyville when a man arrived.

The man asked Haulze about the whereabouts of another man. However, Haulze refused to respond.

As a result, the man pulled out a firearm and slapped Haulze with it in the face.

Unfortunately, the gun discharged and a bullet struck him in his back.

Several persons have since been detained for questioning.

Police are investigating.
