Posted: Monday, December 17, 2018. 6:13 pm CST.

y BBN Staff: Anisha Young has been missing since last weekend when she left Sit and Sip en route to her boyfriend’s home.

Today Deputy Commissioner of Police, Chester Williams, commented on the matter for the first time.

He revealed that he was out of the country at the time of her disappearance but has remained in contact with her family.

According to him, all leads shared to the department have been followed but have not yielded any positive results.

Williams told the press that he would be meeting with Young’s family today to see what else could be done to assist them.

He said he is hoping that she is still alive.

“We’re expecting the worst but at the end of the day, hoping for the best,” he said.

He appealed to the public to share any information that they may have that might be useful in locating the missing woman.

“I don’t want people to do it for money,” he said.

Instead, he hopes the public may assist to provide her devastated family with closure.

Williams stated that the investigations are ongoing.
