According to reports, yesterday, the Belize Tourism Board (BTB) forced the hotel to close down after failing to pay its hotel taxes.
A representative of the hotel informed BBN this afternoon that the hotel is once again open for business.
According to the representative, the hotel and the BTB have reached an agreement with relation to the payment of the hotel taxes that they owed.While no figures were released, we understand that the hotel owed a significant amount of taxes to the BTB.
