Police issue report on suspected drug plane

By BBN Staff:The Belize Police Department has issued an official report on the suspected drug plane that landed near Barranco Village, Southern Belize.

According to the report, around 1 am today, the aircraft landed approximately 3 miles from Barranco.

Belizean authorities intercepted the plane after its contents had been unloaded and disappeared.

Police also intercepted a vehicle that had aviation fuel inside it. The occupants of the vehicle were a police officer and a civilian.

The department says that in collaboration with other agencies, it is conducting a vigorous investigation into this matter.
