Shooting reported in Hopkins, Stann Creek

By BBN Staff:A shooting incident this morning has left one man injured.

He has been identified as Alvin Lopez, 45.

According to police reports, just before 1 a.m. Lopez and his son were inside their home in Hopkins, Stann Creek.

Lopez was inside his bedroom and heard that someone was outside of his home.

Thereafter he heard shots fired and realized his home was being targetted.

In the process, he was shot to the knee while his son was unharmed.

Police are investigating.
