Police remove two guns from Belize City streets

y BBN Staff: Proactive policing has led to the removal of two guns from the streets of Belize City.

On Friday before midnight, police conducted a search on Berger Field situated on Vernon Street. That is where they found a silver 9mm Ruger brand firearm along with one magazine containing (13) 9mm live rounds of ammunition. 

No one was in the area and so the weapon was labeled as “found property”.
In a previous search that same night, police conducted a search inside a drain on Fern Lane and found a rusty .38 Smith and Wesson Special Revolver with 2.38 live rounds inside a styrofoam plate.

Again at the time of this discovery, no one was in the area and so the firearm was labeled as “found property”.
