Angel Cassasolo charged with stabbing common-law wife to death

BBN Staff: Police have formally arrested and charged Angel Rueben Cassasolo,35, for the crime of murder. 

Cassasolo is being accused of stabbing his common-law wife, Anita Pineda on January 1, 2019. 

Cassasolo arrived at the home of a relative where Pineda was and demanded that she leave with him. When Pineda refused, Cassasolo took out a knife and stabbed her to the chest. 

Pineda was rushed to the hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival. 

A source informed BBN that Pineda endured violence while living with Cassasolo and in one instance when Pineda’s father intervened, Cassasolo beat him and broke 2 of his ribs. 

Cassasolo was arraigned at the San Ignacio’s magistrate’s court and remanded until March 5,2019.
