San Ignacio among top budget-friendly places to visit in 2019

BBN Staff: The Travel, a popular online travel site, has named San Ignacio, Belize among its top two places in the world for travelers seeking a budget-friendly destination in 2019 still capable of delivering an awesome and unforgettable experience.

According to the site, being a tourist can get quite expensive factoring in flights, accommodations, food, transport and other expenses that come with traveling to a foreign country. It adds that the best way to travel is to plan and budget ahead. It also added that luckily, there a numerous destinations with intriguing, beautiful and cost friendly attractions.

The Travel says that one of the most attractive things about Belize is the 2:1 exchange rate, which allows tourists to basically double the value of their money. “If you are going on a budget, you can double your budget and come out saving,” the site says. It adds that in the Cayo district, San Ignacio is the place to be.

According to The Travel, San Ignacio offers opportunities to explore ruins, rivers, caves and jungles, as well as long scenic tours and tours of ancient Maya ruins including Caracol, Xunantunich, Cahal Pech and El Pilar.

San Ignacio was listed at number 2 on The Travel’s top 25 list. The Top spot was Barranquilla, Colombia. Other notable locations on the list included, Miami, Florida; Grenada; Montreal, Canada; Kingston, Jamaica; and the Cook Islands just to name a few.
