Belize City Council thanks patriotic Belizeans for street signs donation

Posted: Thursday, January 10, 2019. 8:53 pm CST.

BBN Staff:  A group of patriotic Belizeans living in New York City and Toronto, Canada have contributed (40) street signs to the Belize City Council (CITCO).

The street signs are valued at over $1,200 USD.

The street signs which are made of high intensity prismatic (HIP) with reflective and enameled coating (to prevent corrosion) will ensure residents and visitors to Belize City are able to identify the streets, neighborhoods, and communities.

This morning, the council began installing the signs on Albert Street.

CITCO says that it will continue throughout the subsequent weeks on the following streets; Queen Street, York Street, New Road, Freetown Road, Castle Street, Petticoat Alley, Barrack Road, Douglas Jones Street, & Lovely Lane.

Mayor Bernard Wagner and the Belize City Council thanks the group for their generous donation.
